The FRENZEL MMx2 tube guitar amplifier was designed to be extremely flexible and will do just about anything any one of our other amps will do, and more! This amp comes with two completely independent preamp channels with separate tone stacks and master volume controls, each also with 4 distinct modes that are selectable via pull switches on the GAIN and VOLUME controls of each channel. 

In "NORMAL" mode, CHANNEL 1 will create those beautiful clean to warm overdrive "Tweed" style tones. The BRIGHT switch on the CHANNEL 1 GAIN control transforms the preamp into more of a "Plexi" style preamp voiced with emphasis on both the upper-mids and highs, while the BOOST switch on the VOLUME control adds in an extra gain stage for awesome crunch and overdrive.

CHANNEL 2 starts out as a sweet sounding slightly warmed-up vintage "Plexi" style channel, but when you pull either or both of the BOOST switches on the GAIN and VOLUME controls (both of which add an additional gain stage to the circuit), you'll have insane amounts of high-gain screaming tube overdrive/distortion tones to choose from!

Designed to be somewhat of a "super simple tweaker's dream" amp, each channel's independent BASS, MIDDLE, and TREBLE tone controls and separate GAIN and VOLUME controls have a familiar simple feel, while also allowing you to dial in nearly infinite variations on any of the multiple modes. 

Back these two ultra-configurable preamps up with a conservatively rated 100 watt output section (NOTE: Lower power versions also available) driven by a matched quad of 6550 output tubes and dual 5U4GB rectifier tubes for the perfect amount of compression and sag, and you've got a monster amp suited for just about any style of music out there! 

Other features include relay-driven channel switching circuitry with absolutely no solid state in the signal path for instantaneous and reliable channel switching, a master volume control, a shared PRESENCE control with a PULL NNFB switch that transforms the power amp section into a "No-Negative-FeedBack" style power amp for more power amp attack, FRENZEL MultiValve bias so you can easily swap out the power tubes with various other types, slick gloss black laser engraved aluminum front and rear panels with bright silver lettering, and heavy duty silver aluminum knobs all packed in a genuine Tolex covered 13-ply birch head cab with chrome hardware and a tinted "plexi" acrylic front panel.
