Description

The FRENZEL Ultra OD is a point-to-point hand-wired two channel tube guitar amp that was designed to be an extremely versatile amp while retaining a control interface that's as simple as possible. CHANNEL 1 is voiced for clean tones that are super sweet and warm, but will also dish out killer crunch tones at higher gain settings. CHANNEL 2's preamp was designed for more overdrive and screaming lead tones, but can also clean up quite nicely when you pull back on the gain or your guitar's volume control. Both channels have been "dialed in" in such a way that you can quickly and easily find your tone with standard simple gain, volume, bass, middle, and treble controls. There's also a master volume and a shared presence control for controlling overall loudness and brilliance.

Additional features include relay-driven true-bypass channel switching circuitry (footswitch included) with absolutely no solid state in the signal path for instantaneous and reliable channel switching, FRENZEL "MultiValve" bias so you can easily swap out the power tubes with various other types, slick gloss black aluminum front and rear panels with bright silver lettering, and heavy duty black aluminum knobs all packed in a genuine Tolex covered 13-ply birch hand-made head cab with chrome hardware and a tinted "plexi" acrylic front panel.

• True point-to-point hand wired using terminal strips (no PCBs or turret/eyelet boards) for the highest quality and shortest possible signal path. 

• Input/output jacks isolated from chassis, DC on the filaments, and FRENZEL proprietary component layout design and star grounding system for virtually no hum or noise.

• Built using only the finest of parts including low noise polypropylene caps, metal film resistors, ceramic sockets, Switchcraft jacks, etc.
